Between the ages of 11 and 12, I found myself asking two big life questions – what am I doing here? and why am I here? The question Who am I? appeared later in life.
Unfortunately, the answers didn't come until much, much later. In the interim, I found myself desperately searching for my life answers - through psychology and philosophy books, faiths, different physical practices but I was left feeling dissatisfied and unfulfilled.
At the age of 21, I was working full time in a bank. My heart wasn't in it but it was paying the bills. I was still searching for my life answers. Some of the answers came to me via a controversial yet inspiring teacher who came into my life through a chance meeting. Almost without realising, through him I learned the principles of relaxation, concentration and meditation, which at that time, he hadn't labelled as such- his emphasis was simply on focussing on one’s practice. In contrast with my day job, this new occupation gave me the ability to breathe in my life. Slowly, my perception of and relationship with the world around me started to change completely. I gained more clarity on, not only the impact of other people's action and the world around on me, but also the impact of my actions on others and my surroundings. The more I grew to understand myself, the better my relationship was with my life. My inner world became my outer world and vice versa.
Between the ages of 27 and 28, I became a student of Astrology and Yoga. These new influences had a powerful effect on me and I knew straightaway that I had been granted the answers to the questions I’d been asking for so long. From that moment onwards, everything in my life simply fell into place and I knew I had found the path I needed to be on.
For the last 20, I haven’t stopped on my journey and my practices have become ways of life for me. I fully appreciate that I finally deserve to reach this point of fulfilment.
I will be a scholar of Astrology and Yoga for as long as it takes to complete my spiritual journey. Today I know why I am here and what there still is for me to do.
I would like to pay my respect and gratitude to all of my teachers I have met on my path. I am very thankful for their knowledge and wisdom which they have agreed to share with me.
Finally I’d like to say Thank You for their beautiful and conscious lives they have the courage to live.
Thank You to the many people who have inspired me and helped me on this journey. And last but not least, Thank You to Maria Pieniazek, Leon
Zawadzki, Sri Ramana Maharishi, Paramahansa Yogananda, Swami Sri Yukteswar and B.K.S Iyengar for their enlightened lives .
